In Search Of Sanitation

When I was growing up and camping with my parents, we used a 5 LB coffee can for our night-time potty needs.  As my sisters and I will tell you, none of us to this day drink coffee.  Go figure!  So now the search is on for a real porta-potty suitable for Toto's Tin Can.  Nothing fancy, nothing big, just needs to do the job.  Discreetly.

Toto Leaves....the driveway!

July 29, 2011.  Toto takes her first trip to spend a few weeks at artist LISA GENTILE's house where the custom painting begins.   Lisa (left) will be creating a beautiful sunflower motif to reflect Toto's home state of Kansas.  (http://www.phonyfaux.com/)

Sisters on the Fly - Oprah magazine June 2011

Click on this link to read about what inspired me to find a vintage trailer and become a Sister!
Sisters On The Fly

I had previously read an article in Trailer Life Magazine (March 2011) and became fascinated with the idea of finding a vintage trailer, dolling it up and traveling with a group of fun ladies.  Vernon has promised to teach me how to fly fish (I really don't want to touch them - ick) and I'm excited to be responsible for hooking up and driving my trailer.  However....never leave home without the AAA card!

Toto Arrives in Leawood Kansas!

Meet Toto!  15' of shiny silver, packed with vintage charm.  She is in terrific shape for her age.  We've checked out the propane (stove fired right up), electricity (lights burned bright), water (water flowed in and out), tires (needed a little air), and windows (cranked right open with a little WD40).

Gas stove fully operational.  The color will have to go, though

Ice Box --- Yes, I said ice box.  You know, like in "buy a block of ice and watch it melt."

Dinette that makes into a bed - but only if Vernon is traveling with me!  Nice view, eh?  And I'm only in my driveway!
This is Lori's Bedroom - picture it pink and girly with lots of pillows.  This area is actually a sofa bench seat that folds flat for a bed.  There is storage underneath the bed and at the headboard.  Original reading light perfect for scary stories late at night when the campfire has burned down.

What style and flair!

The current name of the trailer is "Little Belle."  Watch this space for new artwork.

Sorry --- the large chested lady will not be staying either.  Vernon has claimed this for his man cave.
All Vintage Trailers Need a Vintage Bike
This is a 1967-ish Galaxy Flyer, the wicker basket and brrrring brrrring bell are also of the era.
And by the way, her name is "Dorothy."  What else!
